about a3+oag
a3+oag (africans, african-americans & other africans globally) is a US & Africa based agency - operating in NYC & Joburg - with 13+years of experience in collaborating for Africa’s interests within the US’ fashion & film industries. We have been instrumental in forging key partnerships & opportunity for the South African Consulate, Embassy & Tourism & the Cape & Gauteng Film Commissions within the US, partnering these government entities with fashion platforms & film studios throughout the country. We also, in part have managed the Sister-City partnership between the City of New York & the City of Joburg. Our advocacy efforts have been key in moving the South African film industry from $20 million to more than $3 billion annually over a period of 15yrs. We are building Africa-focused installation platforms within established US brands, where Africa-inspired ideas take shape & thrive within established brands such as: Fashion Law @Fordham, NY Fashion Week (NYFW), the Tribeca Film Festival, the NY Times, AmFar et. al. Our active goal is to use these established brands to highlight the latest in Africa’s development, growth & talent. Our influential markets are the African markets & also the African-American market.

advocating for Africa’s opportunity, growth & progress, in collaboration with established fashion & film partners, within the US & globally
With African markets largely neglected @ mainstream level & therefore under-served within a US context & also globally - @a3+oag is excited to have in place since 2015, an ambitious yet elegant goal & collaborations to help satisfy these connections & begin bridging the gaps between these vibrant markets. We are intrigued at the opportunity to advocate for the interests of Africa’s creative affairs & taking pride in addressing its growing, changing & developing needs, by beginning to export the continent’s unique dialogues from within & straight into a global audience. Of course, what China has taught us is that - given a chance & just like any market, her royal Africa is an opportunity that can be built & solidified from the ground up. Encouraged by President Obama & Bloomberg Philanthropies' US/Africa Summit in Aug 2014 - @a3+oag has been actively & creatively advocating for collaborations as an Africa Partner for Africa’s Creatives - particularly for fashion, film & publishing. Our installations, sensitive & attentive to Africa, are collaborated to reshape & reinvent the continent’s image in partnership with established US creative brands. Highlighting the continent’s rich culture, complex history, robust talents & the exciting developments actively & impatiently taking shape ongoing. Of course, we would not do great justice to Africa, if we do not also creatively & strategically address the continent’s challenges as well.
